Jackson County Generals (McKee, KY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Red Bird Cardinals (Beverly, KY), 81-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Jackson County upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Madison Southern (Berea, KY) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 12-6. Madison Southern lost 76-46 in their recent non-league bout against Great Crossing (Georgetown, KY)

Next up, the Cardinals play the North Laurel Jaguars (London, KY) in a District 49 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Red Bird will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Jaguars come into the battle with a 8-11 record after their 62-47 league win over Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY).
