The Toms River North Mariners basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Jackson Memorial Jaguars to 36 in the Mariners non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mariners now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ocean Township for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Toms River North will battle a Spartans team coming off a 62-34 league loss to Donovan Catholic (Toms River, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 6-11.

The Jaguars (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Matawan Regional was nudged by Holmdel (Holmdel, NJ), 87-74, in a league contest.
