Palo Verde Panthers (Las Vegas, NV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Las Vegas Wildcats (Las Vegas, NV), 53-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Palo Verde upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Panthers travel to Pinecrest Academy Cadence (Henderson, NV) to play the Cougars in a 4A Lake bout on Monday, January 29. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-14. Pinecrest Academy Cadence lost 63-28 in their recent league bout against Rancho (Las Vegas, NV)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Bishop Gorman Gaels (Las Vegas, NV) in a 5A Southern bout, on Monday, January 29. Las Vegas will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record. The Gaels go into the bout with a 18-4 record after their 64-53 non-league win over Notre Dame (SO) (Sherman Oaks, CA).
