The Lyon County Lyons basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the visiting Walton-Verona Bearcats to 52 in the Lyons non-league victory on Friday.
The Lyons now sport a 20-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Owensboro for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Lyon County will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 78-66 non-league loss to Evansville Bosse (Evansville, IN). The Red Devils record now stands at 9-8.
The Bearcats (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cooper (Union, KY). The Jaguars come into the non-league contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Cooper prevailed over Covington Catholic (Park Hills, KY), 65-55, in a non-league contest.
