With the victory, Manistee upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Chippewas host Oakridge (Muskegon, MI) to play the Eagles in a Western Michigan Lakes - Lakes challenge on Friday, February 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-4.

Next up, the Bucks play the Lake City Trojans (Lake City, MI) in a Highland battle, on Tuesday, January 30. Pine River Area will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Trojans come into the battle with a 5-10 record after their 43-31 league loss to Houghton Lake (Houghton Lake, MI).
