The Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) basketball nipped the visiting Providence Country Day Knights (East Providence, RI), 45-43 in Friday's league test.

The Huskies (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, Somerset Berkley Regional got by Durfee (Fall River, MA), 69-58, in a non-league test.

The Knights now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Toll Gate for a Division 2 test on Saturday, January 27. Providence Country Day will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 61-28 league loss to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Titans record now stands at 1-13.
