Indiana High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon fells Tell City

January 26, 2024: Tell City, IN 47586

Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tell City Marksmen (Tell City, IN), 64-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Pike Central (Petersburg, IN) to play the Chargers in a Pocket bout on Saturday, January 27. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Pike Central won 63-41 in their recent league bout against South Spencer (Rockport, IN)

Next up, the Marksmen play the Springs Valley Blackhawks (French Lick, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Tell City will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 76-60 non-league loss to Eastern (Pekin, IN).
