The Nebraska Christian Eagles basketball team (Central City, NE), was overwhelmed 49-27 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE)

The Cougars now possess a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fillmore Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 6. Sandy Creek will confront a Panthers team coming off a 76-37 non-league win over Gibbon (Gibbon, NE). The Panthers record now stands at 15-1.

The Eagles (2-13) will now prepare for their battle against Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 8-7 record. In their last battle, Shelby-Rising City trounced Bruning-Davenport/Shickley (Bruning, NE), 57-40, in a non-league battle.
