The Washburn Castle Guards basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Phillips Loggers to 48 in the Castle Guards non-league triumph on Friday.
The Castle Guards now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mercer for a Northern Lights contest on Saturday, January 27. Washburn will meet a Tigers team coming off a 79-40 league loss to South Shore (Port Wing, WI). The Tigers record now stands at 1-10.
The Loggers (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Athens (Athens, WI). The Bluejays enter the Marawood - North contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, Athens ran past Abbotsford (Abbotsford, WI), 62-60, in a league contest.
