Renaissance Phoenix (Detroit, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Southeastern Jungaleers (Detroit, MI), 73-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Renaissance upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Edison Academy (Detroit, MI) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Edison Academy won 62-46 in their recent league bout against Rose Leadership Academy (Detroit, MI)

Next up, the Jungaleers play the Cass Tech Technicians (Detroit, MI) in a Detroit Public I bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Southeastern will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Technicians come into the bout with a 14-1 record after their 71-62 non-league win over Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI).
