West Virginia High School Basketball - Union can't hold off Salisbury Elk Lick

The Union Tigers basketball team (Mount Storm, WV), was nudged 49-43 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Salisbury Elk Lick Elks (Salisbury, PA)

The Elks now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blacklick Valley for a Western Pennsylvania battle on Tuesday, January 30. Salisbury Elk Lick will battle a Vikings team coming off a 73-42 non-league win over Belleville Mennonite (Belleville, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 11-7.

The Tigers (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Tygarts Valley was nudged by Petersburg (Petersburg, WV), 72-59, in a non-league battle.
