Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sierra Chieftains (Tollhouse, CA) and the visiting Yosemite Badgers (Oakhurst, CA), saw Sierra's basketball squad wallop Yosemite by a count of 80-42.

With the victory, Sierra upgrades its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Chieftains travel to East Union (Manteca, CA) to play the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 5-18. East Union lost 50-42 in their recent league challenge against Oakdale (Oakdale, CA)

Next up, the Badgers play the Riverdale Cowboys (Riverdale, CA) in a Northwest Sequoia challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Yosemite will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 80-29 league loss to Fresno Christian (Fresno, CA).
