The Briarwood Christian Lions (Birmingham, AL) basketball crushed the host Calera Eagles (Calera, AL), 56-19 in Friday's non-league test.
The Lions (14-9) will now prepare for their test against Pelham (Pelham, AL). The Panthers go into the 6A Area 8 test with a 16-9 record. In their last test, Pelham walloped Helena (Helena, AL), 59-24, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 5-20 record. They play next when they travel to Moody for a non-league test on Monday, January 29. Calera will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 67-32 non-league win over Winterboro (Alpine, AL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 23-2.
