In Friday's non-league outing, the Genesee Christian Soldiers (Burton, MI) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Chesaning Indians (Chesaning, MI), by a count of 54-23.

The Soldiers (4-6) will now prepare for their outing against Beecher (Flint, MI). The Buccaneers go into the Genesee Area - Red outing with a 2-6 record.

The Indians now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeville for a Mid-Michigan outing on Monday, January 29. Chesaning will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 40-19 league win over Byron (Byron, MI). The Falcons record now stands at 9-3.
