Daniel Boone Trailblazers (Gray, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN), 59-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Daniel Boone upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Trailblazers host West Ridge (Blountville, TN) to play the Wolves in a 4A District 1 bout on Friday, February 2. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 4-7.

Next up, the Indians play the Central Wise Warriors (Norton, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Dobyns-Bennett will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 59-46 league win over Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA).
