With the win, Gehlen Catholic upgrades its record to 2-16 on the season. The Jays host St. Mary's (Remsen, IA) to play the Hawks in a War Eagle bout on Saturday, January 27. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 13-1. St. Mary's won 64-30 in their recent league bout against South O'Brien (Paullina, IA)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals (Marcus, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. South O'Brien will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 55-45 non-league loss to Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA).
