West Virginia High School Basketball - Hurricane thwarted by Greenbrier East

The Hurricane Redskins basketball team (Hurricane, WV), was toppled 54-46 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV)

The Spartans now possess a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hedgesville for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27. Greenbrier East will confront a Eagles team coming off a 58-29 league loss to Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 5-7.

The Redskins (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 3-12 record. In their last battle, Lincoln County was toppled by Scott (Madison, WV), 63-40, in a league battle.
