The Gulf Coast HEAT (Sarasota, FL) basketball nipped the visiting Halifax Academy Knights (Daytona Beach, FL), 27-20 in Friday's non-league test.
The (15-3) will now prepare for their test against Out-of-Door Academy (Sarasota, FL). The Thunder go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Out-of-Door Academy was tipped by Families Instructing Students HomeSchool (Brandon, FL), 38-15, in a non-league test.
The Knights now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they host St. Joseph Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30. Halifax Academy will encounter a Flashes squad coming off a 55-32 non-league win over Trinity Christian Academy (Deltona, FL). The Flashes record now stands at 15-5.
