The Haddam-Killingworth Cougars (Higganum, CT) basketball crushed the visiting Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT), 64-26 in Friday's league test.

The Cougars (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Wamogo (Litchfield, CT). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Wamogo was trounced by Gilbert (Winsted, CT), 52-33, in a league test.

The Highlanders now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they host Old Lyme for a Shoreline test on Tuesday, January 30. Portland will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 45-30 non-league loss to Montville (Oakdale, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-8.
