The Wethersfield Eagles basketball team scored 39 points and held the host Platt Panthers to 28 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Britain for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Wethersfield will battle a Golden Hurricanes team coming off a 40-25 non-league win over Maloney (Meriden, CT). The Golden Hurricanes record now stands at 3-9.

The Panthers (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lewis Mills (Burlington, CT). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Lewis Mills was defeated by East Catholic (Manchester, CT), 56-43, in a non-league contest.
