In Friday's league game, the Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ) soccer team nipped the host Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ), by a score of 1-0.
Next, the Sabercats confront the Marcos de Niza Padres (Tempe, AZ) in a 4A Desert Sky challenge, on Monday, January 29. Saguaro will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Padres enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 7-0 league win over Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ).
The Wildcats now have a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marcos de Niza for a 4A Desert Sky challenge on Wednesday, January 31.
