Athens Bluejays (Athens, WI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Edgar Wildcats (Edgar, WI), 76-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Athens upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Bluejays host Rib Lake (Rib Lake, WI) to play the Redmen in a Marawood - North bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Redmen come into the bout with a record of 8-7.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Assumption Royals (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) in a Marawood - South bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Edgar will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Royals come into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 56-44 league loss to Newman (Wausau, WI).
