The Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY) basketball knocked off the visiting Middlesboro Yellowjackets (Middlesboro, KY), 78-69 in Friday's league test.

The Bobcats (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Harlan (Harlan, KY). The Green Dragons go into the District 52 test with a 14-3 record. In their last test, Harlan went down by Martin County (Inez, KY), 50-49, in a non-league test.

The Yellowjackets now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Knox Central for a non-league test on Monday, January 30. Middlesboro will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 79-57 non-league loss to Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 3-19.
