Clarksburg Coyotes (Clarksburg, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons (Bethesda, MD), 60-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Clarksburg upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Richard Montgomery (Rockville, MD) to play the Rockets in a Montgomery 4A West bout on Monday, January 30. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Richard Montgomery won 54-49 in their recent league bout against Gaithersburg (Gaithersburg, MD)

Next up, the Barons play the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Bethesda-Chevy Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Screamin' Eagles go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 52-51 non-league win over Poolesville (Poolesville, MD).
