Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Highland Cougars (Ewing, MO) and the host Brookfield Bulldogs (Brookfield, MO), saw Highland's basketball team gain a win over Brookfield by a score of 50-31.

The Cougars now sport a 1-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Keokuk for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 31. Highland will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 59-50 non-league win over Central Lee (Donnellson, IA). The Chiefs record now stands at 6-10.

The Bulldogs (2-16) will now prepare for their battle against Centralia (Centralia, MO). The Panthers come into the Clarence Cannon battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Centralia prevailed over Marshall (Marshall, MO), 61-52, in a non-league battle.
