Maryland High School Basketball - Calvert can't hold off Lackey

The Lackey Chargers basketball team scored 76 points and restricted the host Calvert Cavaliers to 70 in the Chargers league victory on Friday.

The Chargers now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chopticon for a Southern Maryland contest on Wednesday, February 1. Lackey will battle a Braves team coming off a 62-54 league loss to Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Braves record now stands at 12-4.

The Cavaliers (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against North Point (Waldorf, MD). The Eagles come into the Southern Maryland contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, North Point edged Patuxent (Lusby, MD), 83-30, in a league contest.
