Carthage Tigers (Carthage, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Nevada Tigers (Nevada, MO), 66-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carthage upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Tigers host Webb City (Webb City, MO) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Webb City won 51-43 in their recent non-league bout against East Newton (Granby, MO)

Next up, the Tigers play the Monett Cubs (Monett, MO) in a Big 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Nevada will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Cubs go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 39-37 league loss to Seneca (Seneca, MO).
