North Daviess Cougars (Elnora, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Clay City Eels (Clay City, IN), 72-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Daviess upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Orleans (Orleans, IN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 14-1. Orleans won 61-26 in their recent non-league bout against Borden (Borden, IN)

Next up, the Eels play the White River Valley Wolverines (Switz City, IN) in a Southwestern Indiana bout, on Saturday, January 28. Clay City will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 72-38 non-league loss to Sullivan (Sullivan, IN).
