In Friday's non-league match, the host Denby Tars basketball team scored a tight 59-52 triumph over the Southeastern Jungaleers.
In their next game, the Tars meet the Arbor Prep Gators (Ypsilanti, MI) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 31. Denby will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Gators enter the match with a 5-8 record after their 73-55 non-league loss to Phoenix (Kalamazoo, MI).
With the defeat, Southeastern moves to 5-9 on the year. The Jungaleers travel to Ford (Detroit, MI) to meet the Trojans in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 31. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 8-8.
