The Powers Cruisers basketball team (Powers, OR), was overwhelmed 59-24 in Friday's league battle with the host Elkton Elks (Elkton, OR)
The Elks now possess a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perrydale for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 28. Elkton will battle a Pirates team coming off a 51-35 league win over Falls City/Kings Valley Charter (Falls City, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 9-8.
The Cruisers (3-11) will now prepare for their battle against Pacific (Port Orford, OR). The come into the 1A Skyline battle with a 2-13 record. In their last battle, Pacific was overwhelmed by Umpqua Valley Christian (Roseburg, OR), 63-48, in a league battle.
