The Grandfield Bearcats basketball team (Grandfield, OK), was nudged 41-39 in Friday's league battle with the host Geronimo Blue Jays (Geronimo, OK)
The Blue Jays now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Frederick for a Southern Eight battle on Tuesday, January 31. Geronimo will battle a Bombers team coming off a 72-68 non-league win over Canute (Canute, OK). The Bombers record now stands at 13-6.
The Bearcats (1-6) will now prepare for their battle against Ryan (Ryan, OK). The Cowboys come into the Southern Eight battle with a 3-6 record.
