The Louisiana School for the Deaf War Eagles tipped the visiting Kentucky School for the Deaf Colonels basketball team by a final score of 27-21 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the War Eagles face the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 28. Louisiana School for the Deaf will attempt to move on its 6-12 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 4-16 record after their 45-15 non-league win over South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind (Spartanburg, SC).

With the defeat, Kentucky School for the Deaf moves to 1-5 on the year. The Colonels host Ohio School for the Deaf (Columbus, OH) to face the Spartans in a non-league game on Friday, February 3. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 5-4.
