In Friday's league outing, the Newhalen Malamutes (Newhalen, AK) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Koliganek Huskies (Koliganek, AK), by a count of 61-31.

The Malamutes (13-1) will now prepare for their outing against Togiak (Togiak, AK). The Huskies go into the 1A Aleutian Chain outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, Togiak smashed Tanalian (Port Alsworth, AK), 69-45, in a league outing.
