Indiana High School Basketball - Portage edges Michigan City

The Portage Indians (Portage, IN) basketball nipped the visiting Michigan City Wolves (Michigan City, IN), 63-56 in Friday's league test.

The Indians (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield, IN). The Kougars go into the non-league test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Kankakee Valley got by Highland (Highland, IN), 63-54, in a league test.

The Wolves now own a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Chesterton for a Duneland test on Thursday, February 2. Michigan City will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 53-41 non-league win over Culver Academies (Culver, IN). The Trojans record now stands at 12-4.
