Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI), 43-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Pilgrim upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Patriots host St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI) to play the Saints in a Division 2 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 7-5. St. Raphael Academy lost 55-43 in their recent league bout against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI)

Next up, the Huskies play the Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Mt. Hope will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 62-54 league loss to Johnston (Johnston, RI).
