The Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA) basketball nipped the host Walpole Timberwolves (Walpole, MA), 60-58 in Friday's non-league test.
The Tigers (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Wellesley (Wellesley, MA). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Wellesley was tipped by Needham (Needham, MA), 49-46, in a league test.
The Timberwolves now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Natick for a Bay State - Herget test on Tuesday, January 31. Walpole will encounter a Redhawks squad coming off a 64-43 non-league win over Wachusett Regional (Holden, MA). The Redhawks record now stands at 8-5.
