The Pike Central Chargers basketball team (Petersburg, IN), was nudged 56-50 in Friday's league battle with the host South Spencer Rebels (Rockport, IN)

The Rebels now possess a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heritage Hills for a Pocket battle on Saturday, January 28. South Spencer will confront a Patriots team coming off a 72-61 non-league loss to Evansville Mater Dei (Evansville, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 11-5.

The Chargers (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IN). The Wildcats come into the Pocket battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, Mt. Vernon edged Tell City (Tell City, IN), 70-41, in a league battle.
