The Southwest Trojans basketball team (Washburn, MO), was nudged 53-51 in Friday's league battle with the host Spokane Owls (Spokane, MO)
The Owls now possess a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Billings for a Southwest Central battle on Tuesday, January 31. Spokane will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 54-50 league loss to Galena (Galena, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-8.
The Trojans (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Purdy (Purdy, MO). The Eagles come into the Southwest Central battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Purdy edged Lockwood (Lockwood, MO), 54-40, in a non-league battle.
