Widefield Gladiators (Colorado Springs, CO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sand Creek Scorpions (Colorado Springs, CO), 53-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Widefield upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Gladiators host Canon City (Canon City, CO) to play the Tigers in a bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Canon City won 55-39 in their recent league bout against Mesa Ridge (Colorado Springs, CO)

Next up, the Scorpions play the Elizabeth Cardinals (Elizabeth, CO) in a bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Sand Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 57-38 non-league loss to Coronado (Colorado Springs, CO).
