The A.J. Ellender Patriots basketball squad scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Morgan City Tigers to 34 in the Patriots league victory on Friday.
With the victory, A.J. Ellender upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Patriots host Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA) to play the Terriers in a 4A District 7 challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Terriers come into the challenge with a record of 17-4.
Next up, the Tigers play the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) in a 4A District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Morgan City will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
