The Akron-Westfield Westerners basketball team scored 33 points and held the host Harris-Lake Park Wolves to 31 in the Westerners league triumph on Friday.

The Westerners now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity Christian for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Akron-Westfield will meet a Tigers team coming off a 64-19 non-league loss to Unity Christian (Orange City, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-8.

The Wolves (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, IA). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, West Bend-Mallard was nudged by Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA), 58-48, in a non-league contest.
