The South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets basketball team (Spartanburg, SC), was routed 53-10 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors (Talladega, AL)

The Silent Warriors now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Florida School for the Deaf & Blind for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 28. Alabama School for the Deaf will battle a Dragons team coming off a 47-6 non-league win over Louisiana School for the Deaf (Baton Rouge, LA). The Dragons record now stands at 15-5.

The Hornets (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against Louisiana School for the Deaf (Baton Rouge, LA). The War Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 2-18 record. In their last battle, Louisiana School for the Deaf was routed by Florida School for the Deaf & Blind (St. Augustine, FL), 47-6, in a non-league battle.
