The Gilford Golden Eagles (Gilford, NH) basketball felled the host Berlin Mountaineers (Berlin, NH), 47-29 in Friday's league test.
The Golden Eagles (4-0) will now prepare for their test against Prospect Mountain (Alton, NH). The Timberwolves go into the Division III test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Prospect Mountain thwarted Newfound Regional (Bristol, NH), 48-42, in a league test.
The Mountaineers now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Newfound Regional for a Division III test on Tuesday, January 31. Berlin will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 52-43 league loss to Kearsarge (North Sutton, NH). The Bears record now stands at 4-3.
