The El Modena Vanguards basketball team (Orange, CA), was overwhelmed 69-14 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Brea Olinda Wildcats (Brea, CA)

The Wildcats now possess a 20-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Esperanza for a Crestview battle on Tuesday, January 31. Brea Olinda will confront a Aztecs team coming off a 76-52 non-league loss to Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA). The Aztecs record now stands at 21-4.

The Vanguards (13-13) will now prepare for their battle against El Dorado (Placentia, CA). The Golden Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 17-7 record. In their last battle, El Dorado was overwhelmed by Esperanza (Anaheim, CA), 51-27, in a league battle.
