In Friday's league outing, the Douglas Trojans (Winston, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Rogue River Chieftains (Rogue River, OR), by a count of 54-18.
The Trojans (10-7) will now prepare for their outing against Cascade Christian (Medford, OR). The Challengers go into the 3A Far West outing with a 9-9 record. In their last outing, Cascade Christian was crushed by Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR), 45-31, in a league outing.
The Chieftains now hold a 1-16 record. They play next when they travel to South Umpqua for a 3A Far West outing on Saturday, January 28. Rogue River will clash with a Lancers squad coming off a 60-42 league win over North Valley (Grants Pass, OR). The Lancers record now stands at 7-13.
