In Friday's league game, the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) soccer squad overwhelmed the visiting Lake Havasu Knights (Lake Havasu City, AZ), by a final score of 7-0.
The Scorpions (11-3) will now prepare for their game against La Joya Community (Avondale, AZ). The Fighting Lobos go into the 5A Desert West game with a 2-8 record.
The Knights (2-8) will now prepare for their game against Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Vipers go into the 5A Desert West game with a 4-8 record. In their last game, Verrado was overwhelmed by Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ), 9-0, in a non-league game.
