In Friday's non-league challenge, the Canisius Crusaders (Buffalo, NY) ice hockey team the host Salmon River Shamrocks (Fort Covington, NY), by a margin of 6-4.
The Crusaders now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host McQuaid Jesuit for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4.
The Shamrocks (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Thousand Islands (Clayton, NY). The Vikings enter the Division 2 challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Thousand Islands tipped Norwood-Norfolk (Norwood, NY), 6-3, in a league challenge.
