In Friday's non-league challenge, the South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) ice hockey team the visiting Oakland County HomeSchool Fireballs Fireballs (Novi, MI), by a margin of 5-3.
The Cougars now possess a 6-14 record. They play next when they travel to Crestwood for a non-league challenge on Monday, January 30. South Lyon East will play a Chargers team coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Salem (Canton, MI). The Chargers record now stands at 1-5.
The Fireballs (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Novi (Novi, MI). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 10-14 record.
