Calumet Christian Patriots (Griffith, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host DeMotte Christian Knights (DeMotte, IN), 40-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calumet Christian upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season.

Next up, the Knights clash with the Faith Christian Eagles (Lafayette, IN) in a bout, on Saturday, January 28. DeMotte Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 49-37 non-league loss to Fountain Central (Veedersburg, IN).
