The Jones Eagles (Chicago, IL) basketball nipped the host Chicago University Maroons (Chicago, IL), 39-34 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Oak Lawn was tipped by Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL), 51-38, in a league test.
